Call for Applications – Handling Editor, International Journal of Obstetric Anesthesia

The International Journal of Obstetric Anesthesia (IJOA) is seeking to appoint a new Handling Editor to join its Editorial Board.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the leading International Journal in Obstetric Anaesthesia. The role involves managing the peer review process for submitted manuscripts, making editorial recommendations, and helping to maintain the scientific quality and integrity of the journal.

Applicants should have excellent knowledge of medical statistics and epidemiology, with the ability to critically evaluate the statistical aspects of submitted manuscripts.

We welcome applications from individuals with:

• Experience in obstetric anaesthesia and/or related research.
• A strong publication and peer-review record.
• An interest in medical publishing and research methodology.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively within an international editorial team.

• A short curriculum vitae (maximum 3 sides of A4).
• A covering letter (maximum 250 words) outlining their interest in the role and the skills and experience they would bring to the Editorial Board.

The appointment will be made following review of applications by the Editor-in-Chief and Senior Editors.
