New Quick Reference Handbook for Obstetric Emergencies

The OAA announces the publication of a compilation of 20 quick reference guides to assist the multidisciplinary team in better managing obstetric emergencies. The Quick Reference Handbook for Obstetric Emergencies (Obs QRH) is based on current best evidence practice and has been created in a similar format to other QRH published by the Association of Anaesthetists and the Resuscitation Council UK. It is a valuable addition to our range of clinical resources.

Dr Kirsty Maclennan, OAA Executive Committee member and lead editor for the Obs QRH said: “We hope that the Obs QRH will be a great support to OAA members and our other health professional colleagues. This publication is the culmination of months of successful collaborative work between the OAA and the British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM). It has been endorsed by many of our partner stakeholder organisations, which are working with us to improve the quality of maternity care. The Obs QRH demonstrates how high-quality multidisciplinary teamwork can improve patient care and outcomes”
