Non-Luer (NRFit) devices are coming nearer

A joint statement has been published by The Royal College of Anaesthetists, the Association of Anaesthetists and Safe Anaesthesia Liaison Group to alert clinicians and local organisations of the need to develop an action plan for the transition to NRFit devices after the hiatus and hesitancy imposed by the consequences of the Covid pandemic.

The transition to NRFit is expected to be a quality criterion in future RCoA and AoA standards of service delivery and patient care.

Read the statement.

The OAA is aware that many members have experienced local difficulties with equipment supply problems that may have distracted local services from fully engaging with NRFit transition processes.
