What is a virtual conference?
State of the Art Obstetric Anaesthesia will be taking place in an online format. You can still expect the first-class educational programme, networking opportunities, exhibition and posters that you would usually get from OAA meetings. The conference will take place on a virtual platform meaning you can join us from anywhere in the world with nothing more than a laptop or mobile device.

When will State of the Art 2021 be taking place?
State of the Art 2021 will be taking place on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 December 2021. The virtual conference platform will open before the conference meaning you can access the exhibition, network with colleagues and view educational content before the live broadcast starts.

What happens if I can’t make it on the day?
Just because you can’t join us live doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the content. All streams will be recorded meaning you can watch them back after the conference in your own time. You will have access to recordings 6 months post conference.

What is included in my registration fee for the full virtual conference?
By registering for the conference you will gain access to all of our scientific content, keynotes, exhibition, posters and networking opportunities. Access to the recordings will be available for you to view 6 months post conference.

Do I need to download any software to attend the conference?
You do not need to download any software in order to join us for the conference. The conference platform can be accessed through any web browser on your computer or mobile device.

Can I attend just one day?
By registering for State of the Art 2021 you will gain access to content from both days of the event. All the sessions will be recorded meaning that you can watch them in your own time, even if you are unable to join us on the day itself. However we would encourage you to attend live to maximise on the full benefit of the interactive elements.

Will there be an exhibition?
There will be virtual exhibition pages, symposia, and networking opportunities with exhibitors just like you would expect from a physical conference. Unlike a traditional conference, this year our exhibition will open before the main event starts and after the close of the conference. There will be dedicated times in the programme on the live days to talk to industry.

How do I access the virtual conference?
You will receive a confirmation email after you have completed your booking. When the platform launches 1 month before, you will receive a link to create your account and access the conference platform.

Can I get CPD?
This conference has been awarded accreditation from the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA). You will be able to download your CPD certificate from your log in of the OAA website post conference.

What if I would like to cancel my booking?
In the event you are unable to attend the live days and do not want to access the recordings of the sessions post event (you will have access for 6 months) we will be able to cancel your access to the conference and offer a refund minus a £20 administration charge up until 17 November 2021. Please provide written notice of your cancellation to events@oaa-anaes.ac.uk.
