Obstetric Anaesthesia
Annual Scientific Meeting 2021

Update from the OAA Education subcommittee

Despite recent optimistic developments, the coronavirus pandemic continues to have a significant impact on our lives, professional and personal. In observance with Government guidance in relation to the global pandemic, we continue to review our plans for the OAA’s educational events. This includes our Annual Scientific Meeting that is due to be held in May 2021. We expect the conference to take place around the 21st May and we will be able to confirm more details about the new format Annual Scientific Meeting at a later date.

The abstract system for next year's meeting is now open and we encourage you to submit projects relevant to obstetric anaesthesia. We want to reassure anyone wishing to submit an abstract, that there will be a forum for the presentation of abstracts accepted for either oral (the Felicity Reynolds Free Papers) or poster presentation.

We wish all OAA members and colleagues everywhere, well during the continued challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Kind regards,
Dr Chris Elton, President
Dr Nuala Lucas, Chair Education subcommittee
Dr Robin Russell, Education subcommittee
