Notice of Election of Honorary Treasurer and Executive Committee Members to take up positions following the Annual Meeting on Friday, 25th May 2018.

Nominations are invited for the following posts:

1. Honorary Treasurer for three years with effect from 25th May 2019.
(The person elected will act as Honorary Treasurer Elect from 25th May 2018).

2. Three Ordinary Executive Committee Members (three year term of office).
Dr Rupert Gauntlett and Dr Sarah Armstrong are eligible for re-election having served a single term of three years.

Application via nomination forms, available from the OAA website or alternatively from the OAA Secretariat on +44 20 7631 8883 or by emailing secretariat@oaa-anaes.ac.uk.

Any person wishing to stand for a post must submit the nomination form, signed by a proposer and seconder. Nominees, their proposers and seconders must be members of the Obstetric Anaesthetists’ Association, in good standing.

The deadline for receipt of nominations is 5pm on Wednesday 4th April 2018.

The Secretary must receive all nominations by the closing date. An OAA member may nominate more than one person for each vacancy.

The names of those nominated to fill the vacancies, their grade/job title, hospital and proposer and seconder and copies of their election statement will be published on the members’ area of the OAA’s website no later than Thursday 12th April 2018.

An unopposed nomination for Honorary Treasurer will automatically be elected.

If the number of nominations for the post of Ordinary Executive Committee Member is less than or the same as the available number of vacancies, then the nominee(s) will be automatically elected.

Where there are more valid nominations for the Honorary Treasurer post and Ordinary Executive Committee Members than the number of vacancies, the election to fill those vacancies will occur by electronic voting through the members’ area of the OAA’s website. Each OAA Member will be entitled to cast a number of votes equivalent to the number of vacancies for Honorary Treasurer and Executive Committee Members to be filled.

The election will be in accordance with any instructions displayed on the members’ area of the OAA’s website and will open on Friday 13th April 2018 and close at 17.00 hours on Thursday 24th May 2018.

The results of the electronic vote will be declared on Friday 25th May 2018.
