OAA Refresher Day 2010 - Revalidation in Obstetric Anaesthesia

A comprehensive one day course developed to fulfill the revalidation needs of the anaesthetist who covers obstetrics on call but who does not necessarily do daytime sessions. The syllabus covers the core and higher CPD sections of the CPD matrix of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (and some aspects of the advanced module).
Plenty of time will be allocated for audience questions and panel discussions. This is your chance to pick the brains of an expert panel, and to ask all those silly little questions that you may be too embarrassed to ask at work…….!!
Approved for 5 CPD credits by the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

(Obstetric Anaesthesia Refresher Simulation) course at Barts and The London - Thursday 14 October 2010
Aimed at consultants who don't have regular obstetric sessions but do cover maternity out of hours. The course runs 8 scenarios, both on labour ward and in the obstetric theatre with common and less common but life-threatening conditions. There will be extensive de-briefing afterwards and also a handout. Refreshments and lunch are provided. Approved for CPD. This is an opportunity to practice skills, teamwork and communication skills in a non-threatening environment.
