If you are no longer the Lead OA please: • forward the email to the lead OA in your unit • send the name, telephone number and email address of the new Lead OA to the OAA Secretariat so that the records can be updated.

NOAD 2008 aims to collect a core set of obstetric anaesthetic information including data on dural puncture and epidural blood patching, which will be of use in multiple areas of obstetric anaesthesia.

• Data does not have to be complete and you are asked to send whatever you have
• If the answer to any of the questions is 'none' please enter '0'; if unknown, please enter D/K (do not know)

 

Collection period:  data is requested for the Calendar year (from January 2008).    However, if your hospital is only able to retrieve data by the Financial year (from April 2008) then this will also be acceptable.  Please indicate with 'C' or 'F' on the form to indicate the period for the data collected.

 

This is the NOAD minimum dataset and asks for block/collated information about your unit. Information may need to be collected from several sources, e.g. your lead midwife or lead obstetrician. Please complete the fields as accurately as possible. We have tried to define the fields tightly to avoid ambiguity and we recognise that some information is likely to be missing or not to be available retrospectively.

The completed file should be returned to the address on the bottom of the form (by email, post or fax). The information will be passed to Marc Van de Velde who will collate the data anonymously to give us the National picture.
