Pain Relief in Labour

See English and Foreign Language translations to download

This leaflet (now in its 3rd edition) is designed to give mothers and their partners some idea about the pain of labour and what can be done to relieve it. It uses clear patient-friendly language to discuss the options for analgesia in labour (Simple Methods, TENS, Entonox, Pethidine, Epidurals).

Based on good evidence, the leaflet may be used in conjunction with the film 'Coping with Labour Pain' (see DVD link).
