Research Grants

The OAA offers research grants up to a total of £95,000.

Two grants are offered through the National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia (NIAA) and applications should be submitted direct.

Please note that the scientific and lay abstracts from 2012 Round 1 are now available on the NIAA website.

There are normally two NIAA OAA project grants available:

- one medium grant project for applications up to £15k
- one larger project grant for applications up to £60k

Deadline for applications for 2013 round has passed. The deadline for 2014 round will be announced in early 2014

Applications are now invited for 4 small grants up to a value of £5K each. Applications will be considered by the OAA Research and Grants Committee and the deadline is noon 30^th September 2013. Click here to find out more

Grants are available to support original research in the field of obstetric anaesthesia and may be for equipment, consumables, part salary or other expenses directly incurred by the research (not including a laptop, personal computer, filing cabinet or other basic equipment).
